Duke Farms in Hillsboro New Jersey was the perfect place to photograph Dayna and Steve for their engagement in the fall of 2016. This couple loved to be around one another. So happy and joyful, truly beautiful with the backdrop of the changing season. Although there was a greenhouse full of vibrant green plant life, we kept outdoors to stay with all of that stunning color even though it was a great escape from the briskness chill of fall in New Jersey. As we strolled through only a small part of the huge 2,000 acre establishment, more and more beautiful scenery popped up for us such as the open field and the most perfect bench under the shedding oak tree. The session was filled with joy and happiness. We also were able to photograph their wedding in January of 2017 so stay tuned for that blog post!
Along the Delaware River, Courtney and Diamond tied the knot with friends and family at the end of the Race Street Pier in Philadelphia, PA. With all hand made details including the wooden ceremony backdrop, Courtney’s mother, the officiant, recited the ceremony under bright, beautiful autumn sunshine. The mighty Ben Franklin bridge sat behind the couple with a few passing sailboats glancing as they said their “I do’s.” A kiss and hug sealed the deal, as well as a happy dance from Courtney! Old City Philadelphia is known for its beauty, and it was elevated with the love birds walking along the cobble stone streets, into cute alley ways of color and ancient brick. The leaves were changing, dying, but their love for each other never felt as strong as they smiled together every step of the way. The reception ended up at the best pizza parlor in town, Pizzeria Stella in Society Hill. Smells of wood oven pizza filled the air inside the quaint establishment. Ice cream and sparklers for the entire family topped the night off for relaxing day of love.
In Philadelphia it is always hectic, but for these two, it’s just another day. Inside their Northern Liberties apartment it was so cozy and warm much like themselves. They are such huge animal lovers with two dogs and a cat. We have been wanting to do an in home session for some time now, and Cat and Tyler definitely were up for it. This amount of comfort and intimacy isn't for every couple out there but those that are so content about their love and allowing us into their space felt so rewarding being able to give them this type of photographs. They were so relaxing in their home together as well on our walk around their quiet neighborhood. Life reminds us it doesn't have to be complicated, just simple and at peace.
Two adventurous humans met each other on a trip backpacking in Europe. Love knows no distance. Their spirits pulled them together crossed miles of sea and land. We had the privilege of photographing their engagement at their home in Haddonfield, NJ. Under the huge trees, Don, a guitarist, played a tune for Ro who had the biggest of smiles. You can really tell how happy they were to just be together. On their wedding day, Don’s family traveled crossed the Atlantic Ocean to be with Ro and her family to experience the joy and happiness that they share. The distance was huge just like their hearts. The location of such a wonderful event took place in the Camden County Boat House along the Cooper River. Don dressed in his family traditional attire for this occasion as well as his best men in the ceremony. Ro looked absolutely stunning in her strapless dress, she was glowing as she walked down the isle, to a Beatle’s tune, the feeling of love was so overpowering and it didn’t stop there! The dancing, the dancing! Before the evening turned into a blur, we pulled the newly weds to the rooftop. With the Philadelphia skyline watching, one more kiss was an order. Ro and Don will live happily ever after, they are a real life fairy tale. I hope they never forget and these photographs we have taken to show them that they are special and meant to live together, forever.
